When I toured the country last year in support of my book ("YURTS: Living in the Round"), I was amazed at how many people were interested in using yurts to form communities. It's actually a great option because it allows everyone the chance to try out community living without risking a large financial loss and before making a long-term commitment to that community.
Have you read the "Anastasia" books (www.ringingcedars.com), which are responsible for the creation of over 150 eco-villages in Russia? If not, you will probably find them inspiring.
